It’s that time of year again, in Disney’s new “movie a year” plan for Star Wars. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, according to the trailers, is meant to be the immediate prequel to Episode IV. Given my experience last year, I kept myself insulated from pre-opening reviews, and went in with low expectations and an open mind.[1] Spoilers ahead as I review Rogue One.

Suicide Squad Review

Suicide_Squad_LogoSo, a few weeks ago, the much awaited Suicide Squad movie was released. Coming on the heels of the mixed reviews for Batman v Superman, there was a lot riding on it. DC and Warner Entertainment have been batting long odds against the successful Marvel and Disney driven Avengers series of movies. So, not having seen any of the new Superman films, or Batman v Superman, I went in with no expectations save for that something would be projected on the screen in front of me. Damn! It’s Pokémon Go!

pokemon_go_logoPokémon Go is without a doubt the most successful game/mobile app that has ever been released in terms of pure downloads. Its release has not been without a lot of issues though, and in many ways, has become a template for how not to do it. A collaboration between The Pokémon Company and Niantic, the game has gotten some mixed reviews over all. Given that Pokémon is one of the most successful video game franchises of all time, so how is it that Pokémon Go has garnered such a backlash? Well, let’s take a look as I review Pokémon Go!
